Compete . . . a natural partner for a superb stadium

The fact that the one of the finest athletics stadiums in the UK exists alongside is another strong argument for Conningbrook Lakes.

Together, they offer a rare opportunity for people either to play hard and compete at the highest levels — or simply to have fun. The overall benefit in terms of health and wellbeing is substantial.

The Julie Rose Stadium has hosted international events and attracted visits (and praise) from legends such as Colin Jackson, Dame Kelly Holmes and Sir Steve Redgrave. Its facilities are at a very high level and include a 400m all–weather running track, an 800–seater stand, floodlighting and an indoor training area.

Our belief is that drawing many more people to Conningbrook for less intensive leisure will also lead to an increase in awareness and use of the stadium’s high quality facilities. The potential synergy between the two developments is considerable and is being explored further.
